| Community Information: Everett is the largest city in Snohomish County, as well as the economic, financial, governmental, medical, communication and cultural center of the County. The current population is approximately 102,000. Everett is located 26 miles north of Seattle in one of the most desirable regions in the United States. Everett is the home of Boeing wide-body commercial airplane manufacturing as well as a variety of high-tech enterprises. The Port Gardner waterfront is the homeport of the Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, contains the second largest marina on the west coast, and is the site of a significant waterfront condominium project in the early stages of development. Everett is a beautiful city with many recreational opportunities and great place to live, to work, and to raise a family.
Department Information: The City of Everett employs six (6) engine companies, one (1) ladder company, one (1) swing engine ladder, ( 3) ALS medic units and one and one half (1.5) BLS Aid units. There are seven (7) fire stations located throughout the city. There are currently 181 uniformed firefighters employed. In 2007 the Department responded to over 17,000 EMS Alarms and over 2000 other alarms.

Additional Requirement :
Must be 21 by November 15th, 2008 and a high school Grad/GED. Must have a valid WA state driver’s license with 30 days of hire. Must obtain EMT certification within 12 months of employment and maintain a current level of certification for the duration of employment.
