Job Description
|
| The Boeing Fire Department is one of the largest industrial professional fire departments in the world. Approximately 83 percent of our services are fire prevention related, with the remainder of our time spent providing emergency services or engaged in training activities. We respond to EMS, Haz Mat Rescue/Mitigation, Structural Fire, Aircraft Fire, Confined Space Rescue, USAR, Water Rescue, Motor Vehicle Accidents and Mutual Aid calls. Department functions inculde building inspections, hot work control, fire protection systems configuration control, responding to and controlling all emergencies, including those involving company building, equipment and vehicles. In 2007 Boeing Fire Department responded to 2468 incidents in Puget Sound. Boeing Fire Department has 5 fire stations in the Puget Sound Region to include Everett, Seattle, Renton, Auburn, and Frederickson.

| Salary for Entry Rate is $34,705 plus shift differential and COLA.
Salary for Sr Firefighter is $62,538 plus shift differential and COLA.

Job Requirements
|
Age 21 years of age at time of hireEducation High School Graduate/GED and Associate of Arts or higher preferredExperience 2 years full-time, 3 years resident or 4 years part-paid/volunteer all current within the past two years.
Additional Requirement :
Candidate must have valid Wa State driver's license, correctable vision, Firefighter 1 or IFSAC Equivalency from Accredited Agency, Current WA State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or the ability to obtain reciprocity with current status in continuing education. Aircraft Rescue Firefighting experience or Certified Flam/Comb Liquid Training preferred. Candidates are expected to have good interpersonal skills, flexibility, willingness to work in hazardous environments, have strong verbal and written communication skills and must pass a background check and be able to apply and receive a DoD Security clearance within 1 year of hire.
